Sunday Solstice is a striking dancewear pattern designed to create a modern, performance-ready costume with a beautiful asymmetric look.

The design features a stylish one-shoulder neckline with keyhole detailing and a high-waisted pant, giving excellent coverage while still creating a sleek, contemporary silhouette. The bodice is designed to sit neatly inside the pant for a clean, professional finish.

As with all patterns in the Sunday Pattern Collection, Solstice has been developed specifically for stretch dancewear fabrics and includes 6 mm (0.6 cm) seam allowance.

Fit Note

When I made my own test garment, I found that Sunday Solstice came up slightly generous in size. If your measurements fall between two sizes, I would recommend choosing the smaller size. I always recommend checking the size chart carefully before cutting your fabric and making a test garment where possible.

Skill Level

Suitable for makers who already have some experience sewing stretch fabrics and would like to progress to a more unusual dancewear design.
