Stretch Tutu making 4 day course April 2026 £750 Sold Out

This is a 4 day course held on the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th April 2026  9.30am until 4pm.

Set in the beautiful Village of Auckley Doncaster.

DESCRIPTION

Have you ever wanted to add a Tutu to your skills set? this course is only run once a year and it has a maximum of 6 students. You must be able to make a lycra costume, this is not a beginners class it is an intermediate course.

There are 4 days to this course, the first day is on the 16th April 9.30am until 4pm. This is the theory and preparation day where you will receive your patterns from me and shown how to cut the patterns out, you will also cut out your tutu leotard, and all of your net. We will supply the lycra, net and everything else that you need to make your Tutu.. please choose a colour from my website. We will also explain how to cut your net for the tutu skirt.

The next 2 days to this course is spent sewing your leotard, gathering your net and putting it all together.

The final day will be finishing your Tutu, I can never guarantee that it will be completely finished, that depends on your sewing skills, but you will know exactly how to finish it at home.

I can only take 5 on this course as it is labour intense and I need to give you the time and expertise that you deserve.

If you are making for someone you will need to bring the following measurements… chest, waist hips (fullest part of the bum) and Girth (pass the tape measure between the legs and unto one shoulder. The girth is the Torso. You will also need to measure the arm (elbow to the middle knuckle of the middle finger). If you are not making for anyone you can make a standard size.

what to bring

sewing machine and overlocker, these must be in good working order.

sewing accessories … pins, needles, scissors, a mannequin or a cushion, tagging gun with 2.5cm barbs, embellishments (or these can be purchased from me).
